Wire-actuated encoder with a measuring length of 4000 mm.
The SG42 adheres too the new version of European Standard EN 13000 which focuses on new and enhanced safety and security requirements for machines which include all-terrain cranes, hydraulic lifts, mobile elevating work platforms, scissor lifts and vehicle-mounted cranes.
SIKO has developed new wire cable sensors that are certified to SIL2 PLd, ideally for use in certified safe control systems, with mean time between failures (MTBF) values of over 100 years.
The SIKO wire-actuated encoders SG32, SG42 and SG62 use two completely separate sensors that detect the exact position and send the two analog signals out separately. With measuring lengths between 3 m and 6 m, these wire actuated encoders are ideally suited for accurate position determination of outriggers on cranes, working platforms and booms.
The string potentiometer unit is rated to IP65 protecting itself against the ingress of dirt and water and always works perfectly even at temperatures below the freezing point.
